Olympus and OM System high resolution RAW files and filenaming

If you use an Olympus or OM System camera, such as the Olympus E-M1 mk III that I own, you may have experienced the frustration of Adobe Lightroom not recognising the ‘standard resolution’ 20 MP RAW files that are generated alongside high resolution RAW files, in ‘high-res shot’ mode. These standard resolution files have the unusual filename extension ‘.ORI’, rather than the standard Olympus ‘.ORF’ RAW file extension.

I wrote a short shell script to automate locating and renaming ‘.ORI’ files on the SD card, prior to importing to Lightroom.

Full details, instructions, and the shell script are available on my GitHub.
